Toyota Prius

Used Toyota Prius

In 2001, the first Toyota Prius came out on the market. The notion of a hybrid car came with great fuel savings but a very high initial cash-out. The cost of production for one is really great due to the wonderful innovations to went into the conceptualization of these machines.

Despite this setback, buyers still placed their sights on hybrid cars but waited for used hybrids to hit the market at lower prices. And after 13 years, the market for used hybrid cars is very much in demand. And the Toyota Prius is now in the spotlight once more.

A used Toyota Prius comes with a lot of advantages:

  1. Lowered price. Since used cars come at lower prices, the wonders of hybrid technologies have now become available to a wider spectrum of prospective buyers. Great fuel efficiency and optimum driving experiences are now attainable for a fraction of the original price.
  1. Pristine condition. A wonderful aspect of hybrids is the garage life on these machines. Because of the dual-motor feature on them, wear and tear is lessened to a great extent because of the shared strain between the fuel motor and the electric motor. This makes a used Toyota Prius a great choice for first-time hybrid buyers. They are guaranteed a great model with tons of mileage still left on it due to its hybrid nature even if people say it's already used. Some people can even call it a brand new purchase because of how efficient it is.
  1. Fuel efficiency. This feature comes inherent to all hybrid models. What sets the Prius apart from other is that it was and still is the premiere hybrid model out there in the market. One cannot have a hybrid discussion without including the Prius. It has become a staple player in the hybrid engine market. This means that it is here to stay.
  1. Elegance. Owning a Toyota has always been a privilege for car buyers. This is a trusted brand because it makes trusted cars. The Prius is no exception to this. The same people who gave us majestic models such as the Camry have given us the Prius as a testament of Toyota's dominance in the market.

We here at Baierl PA will even make a Prius purchase even more enjoyable. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff will give you more useful information on hybrid technology to give you everything you need to make that environmentally helpful decision. 2014 Honda CR-Z

Used Hybrid Cars

The trend of hybrid cars is starting to take firm grip in today's driving age. The allure of fuel-efficiency and environment-friendliness has become more and more enchanting over the years. This is why most automobile manufacturers have their own specific line of Hybrid cars to cater to the more eco-conservative buyer. We are here to give you a look at this trend as well as tell you which ones are at the top of the Hybrid Market.

For the prospective buyer who has little information on Hybrids, these are cars that possess two motors in them that each run on different power sources. On runs on fuel and the other on electricity. This particular combination makes the car more fuel-efficient as well as decreases emissions that are harmful to the environment. These smart cars switch in between the two motors in certain situations to give the car a longer life as well as a healthier blueprint.

Manufacturers have gotten onto this trend and hence, there a plenty of great used hybrid cars available for the modern buyer. Among all these marvels of automotive technology stands two models from two of the largest names in the automotive universe: Honda and Toyota. The former has the flagship Honda CR-Z and the latter with the Toyota Prius. These are the premiere hybrid models in the market and should be the first two choices for any prospective buyer who wants to get into the eco-friendly trend.

CR-Z

Honda's Flagship Hybrid boasts of state-of-the-art features such as a fully digitized dashboard and switchable motor modes to either give drivers power or fuel efficiency whenever they need it. The hybrid function on this vehicle gives the Honda CR-Z high scores in fuel efficiency.

The only weakness of the CR-Z would be the seating capacity. It only houses enough room for two people. This makes the car a really good choice for the single professional who wants a vehicle with power but great fuel savings.

Prius

The weakness of the CR-Z is eclipsed by the Toyota Prius. This is a more spacious model with the same technology that provides excellent fuel efficiency. Bearing the Toyota brand also increases the resell value on this car. One wonderful thing about used hybrid cars is that the wear and tear on the is substantially more acceptable than a regular car because of the dual motors these cars have to fight wear and tear. Since two motors are sharing the full function of the car, the strain on the parts is greatly lessened which makes for a really good idea for a resell.

We are sure that Honda and Toyota will still continue making great hybrids in the future. With the continuous development of new automotive technologies, we are also sure that there will be greater and better looking models out in the market soon. Pay us a visit at Baierl PA to take one of these hub rid masterpieces a test drive to see what great fuel efficiency is.

Used Cadillac CTS

Cadillac CTS

The failure to check the Cadillac CTS tire pressure can decrease fuel economy and lead to tire wear. In fact, it is pertinent that you keep a close eye on the state of your tires to prevent the tires from blowing out unexpectedly while driving. Therefore, to keep your tires in tiptop shape, you need to check for deflation every month. The following information will tell you on how you can check if the tires need inflation:

  1. When the Tire Is Cold, Inspect the Tires. Automakers advise people to check their vehicle's tires after they have cooled down. By checking the tires right after you have driven the Cadillac CTS for instance, will provide you with an inaccurate reading. It's better to check the tires in the morning, but if you want to check them after driving the vehicle, check them after 30 minutes.
  2. Take the Valve Cap Off. The valve cap is black, small, and located near the hubcap. The valve cap is no longer than a pencil-sized extension, which is about 1 inch long. Therefore, you need to place it in a secure place where you know it won't get lost.
  3. Press on the Air Pressure Gauge against the Valve Cap. Take the air pressure gauge, align it evenly with the valve cap, and press on it. If you hear a hissing sound when you press down on the valve cap with the air pressure gauge, it indicates that the gauge is not tight and will give you an inaccurate reading. Repeat this step for two to three times until you get an accurate reading.
  4. Compare the Readings with the Reading provided by the Manufacturer. The Cadillac CTS is a sedan, which means that the tire pressure in most sedans is about 27 to 32. In some instances, it can be 40 as well. To get an accurate comparison, refer to the owner's manual, or look inside the vehicle for a chart located on the driver's side.
  5. Inflate Your Tires. Either you can refill your tires at home using a portable air compressor that you can find at any store or you can go to the gas station. Choose the way that is convenient to you.

Toyota Tacoma

Toyota Tacoma

Do you want new tires for your Toyota Tacoma? Read our guide and you will come across some valuable information.

Tire Size

In the period between 1996 and 2013, Toyota has offered a number of sizes for Tacoma. For the year 2013, suitable sixes are 215/70 R15, 245/75 R16, 265/70 R16, 265/65 R17 and 255/45 R18. Decide which ones will be suitable for you before you proceed to the market to buy tires.

Lug Pattern

Lug pattern is important when you are deciding the kind of tires you want. Toyota usually offers a 5 or 6, depending on the 4wd and the model. In most instances, vehicles have lug patterns. If you have a 4×4 truck or a PreRunner, you will have a 6 lug pattern.

Can you fit bigger tires?

Toyota Tacoma has ample room in the wheel well, which means that a larger tire can fit in. But how big can you go with the size? That depends on a number of things.

Generally, you can choose any size given above and your Tacoma will be able to accommodate it. Now here is the thing; large tires are okay for the Tacoma, but do you really need them? If you do so, you may have to face a number of issues, some of which are highlighted below.

  • The odometer and speedometer will no more show the correct figures if you opt for a size that is greater by more than an inch.
  • Large tires do look nice, but you are also loosing low-end torque. When you go for large tires, you are increasing the diameter of your wheels which reduces the axle ratio. Know what this means? Acceleration will decrease.

As for the height and width, you can increase it by 3%, which increases the height by one inch and the width by 0.3 inch. This is often known as the plus 1 tire size increase.

Now that you know these things, you can proceed with buying new tries for your Tacoma.
